You are invited to attend a
Family Child Care Provider
Friday, August 11, 2017 6:30-8:00 pm
A learning party is a smaller more intimate event designed for business owners such as family child care providers. It gives providers the opportunity to talk about specific curriculum, training or business issues related to their programs. Learning party topics may include setting up the classroom environment with loose parts, teacher development or documenting children’s learning.
Participants will enjoy beverages and hors d’oeuvres, an art exhibit, a marketplace tour, hands-on learning activities with loose parts, and open discussion. It is our goal to help motivate participants through active engagement with materials and ideas that can be used in their day-to-day lives.
Come out and spend the evening in a beautiful space where everyone can share and learn from each other.
To register go to our PROGRAMS PAGE and click on WORKSHOPS. Cost: $25 through PayPal.

At Eco Treasures, our mission is to collect materials that would normally be thrown in our landfills such as business samples, discontinued or irregular items that cannot be sold, unwanted items due to over production, nature items or even personal collections. Creative reuse of these materials is an important aspect of our mission. At our Eco Treasures marketplace, materials are sorted and beautifully displayed and sold to teachers, parents, scout leaders, and others in the community at very affordable prices. These items can be used as loose parts for hands on learning and for Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics (STEAM) related activities. These materials could also be used for creative art experiences and other projects. Providing workshops for professional development is a critical part of our mission as we help others discover the possibilities for using these materials for learning.
